We're planning a road trip in May and will be going down the I-95 corridor from CT to FL.?

Any suggestions for some side trips when in NC and GA. We've been to the Atlanta area and Stone Mountain and the mountains of NC. Looking for something interesting and different. We also like outlet shopping or unusual places to get gifts.
