Freshman year of college...will it get better?

It gets so much better. You sound like me my freshman year... I felt so lost. I went to college with one of my best friends and a boyfriend. I broke up with my boyfriend because I decided I wanted "my own life" at college and then it just fell apart. When I was upset about the break up my friend went off and made her own. My roommate and I were super close too until I read IMs where she was talking about me behind my back. Sopre year I decided I would change my life by getting in a sorority... but the problem was, that wasn't for me either. I wasn't your typical sorority girl so I got out of that so worried that I'd made the wrong decision. My the middle of my sopre year I joined the Advertising club and got really involved with school and my major. I met some of my best friends in this club by joining exec board. I look back on my first year of school and laugh because it got so much better. But the thing is, at the time it felt like it never would... it really just takes time. I think it's great you are so dedicated to exams and school in the moment. I managed to get straight A's my freshman year because I put everything I had into my work since nothing else was going my way. Keep your chin up!

Pain Behind Eyes and vomiting?

So last night, my sister randomly started crying and saying her eye hurt...really bad. On a scale of the pain from 1-10 she said it was a 10, and she thought she needed to go to the hospital. Then, she started projectile vomiting about 6 times in a minute. So my mom drove her to the hospital, and when we were almost there, she said the pain was totally gone and she felt fine. My father has a mental health problem - clinical depression and panic attacks and takes medication for it (isocarboxazid ) he is 54 years old and been on the meds for 20 years and can't work, He swears and is very abusive and shouts at people in the street and threatens people from his car window He gets angry and looses his temper very easily and can't cope with everyday problems and very small situations like e.g somebody Driving slightly slow or not being able to get a parking place waiting in ques for at shopping centres and sometimes just randomly shouting at people for no reason and he calls everybody else mad and that his the only normal one ,im not sure what to do with him im 19 and live with him and my mother and he needs help but refuse's to go see somebody as he does not think he has a problem His tempers and moods an personalty is nothing like i have seen before he is truly like a monster or the devil and rarely acts normal nowadays,what can i do to get him to see somebody or who can i speak to get help ?????? btw i am in the U.K

With no bias I would have to say he is. MJ had better handles and a little more speed and was probably a better scorer. However, at this age Lebron James jumper is about on the same as Jordan. He has a way better 3-point game (Michael Jordan constantly shot in the 20's in 3-pointers and only shot them when he was open or for a game winning attempt). Lebron James is a better rebounder and is probably the best or 2nd best ping non point guard of all time (in with Larry Bird). Also if you look at it, Lebron has to compete against more athletic and better guards. D-Wade will probably be the 2nd or 3rd best shooting guard when he retires, Kobe will probably be the best or 2nd best shooting guard, CP3 will probably be 2nd best point guard who played the game behind MJ. Why does everything become a competition with the recent past?

I find that I let my past, good experiences, undermine the now. The past was not a waste, that's for sure, but it is the past. I am extremely angry with myself for having anxious thoughts in this regard and the anger is what allows the thoughts to persist (and "anxiety" to linger). Although I am essentially prepared for what comes my way, my thought of the past and "how am I going to re-create this, or that?" blocks the potential out of the very moment, the potential that would just be there if I wasn't thinking so hard. The present, is always in competition with the recent past. Why do I do this? Any or all of it, any thoughts would be appreciated. K so I am 16 and this last week I went on a FFA trip. There was this one guy who also went and he was 18 and I have met him once before and said hi like twice. So the first night of our trip we stayed at these cabins and I was helping my cousin out with some of her boy problems and when I got back there was only like there was only like two kids in the lodge so I stayed for a few minutes and talked to them and one of the freshman in my chapter came and told me they were going to start a movie in one of the cabins so I went. When I got there the two couches were both completely full and there were two beds. On one of the beds was the 18 year old guy I mentioned before and one the other there was another guy so at first I was just standing behind the couch and then the one guy grabbed me by my waist and told me to sit down. So I sat down and like ten minutes into the movie he started to mage my back and I thought it was a little weird but he stopped after a little bit and then like five minutes later he suddenly grabbed me and pulled me onto the bed and he snuggled up to me. There were like 13 other kids in the room and I didn't want to make a scene so I just tried to get farther away but every time I moved he would just pull me tighter and closer so I couldn't move. He started to put one of his hands on my thigh and he rubbed my thigh he stopped rubbibg my thigh and than started rubbibg my arm. He walked me back to my cabin when I decided to leave and I said good night and practically ran to my door cause I thought he was going to try to kiss me. The next day I went to breakfast and he wistled at me when I walked in. I ate my breakfast and than went to go play card games with every one. While I was playing he came up behind me and started maging my back and he leaned up against me and he got a *b@ner Later we were on the bus and one of the girls came up to me and asked if me and that guy were dating. I told her no and then she told me how he had attemped to three different girls before. After I had told her we weren't dating the rest of the trip if he touched me someone would say something to him or push or hit him but he still wouldn't stop touching me.
